Queensland Parliamentary Office Refurbishment

JDV Projects partnered with Queensland Parliamentary Service (QPS) to deliver a coordinated program of electorate office relocations and fitouts across Queensland, providing elected representatives and their teams with contemporary workplaces designed to support community engagement, operational efficiency and staff wellbeing.

Delivered under Design & Construct contracts, the program comprised the complete planning, design, procurement, construction, certification, commissioning and relocation of four electorate offices across South East and regional Queensland. While each location presented unique site conditions, the overarching objective remained consistent: to create secure, accessible and highly functional workplaces that enable Members of Parliament to effectively serve their communities.

The projects required JDV to coordinate all consultant disciplines, authority approvals, stakeholder engagement, workplace technology, security infrastructure, furniture procurement, relocation logistics and make-good works at existing premises. Working within occupied commercial and retail environments, JDV carefully managed construction activities to minimise disruption to neighbouring tenants while maintaining programme certainty and operational continuity.

Each office was delivered in accordance with Queensland Parliamentary Service workplace standards, incorporating secure reception areas, community meeting facilities, open-plan staff workspaces, dedicated Member offices, storage facilities, integrated technology infrastructure and accessibility provisions. Security remained a critical consideration throughout the program, with specialised glazing, controlled access systems, CCTV, communications infrastructure and carefully planned spatial layouts balancing public accessibility with staff safety.

Beyond the physical construction, JDV managed the transition of staff, equipment and operational services into each new location, ensuring every office was fully functional from day one. The completed portfolio provides safe, welcoming and professional environments for staff and constituents while supporting the long-term operational requirements of Queensland Parliamentary Service.

Burleigh Electorate Office | Palm Beach

JDV successfully delivered the relocation and fitout of the Burleigh Electorate Office within a new first-floor tenancy in Palm Beach. The project included complete design coordination, services modifications, security integration, workplace technology, furniture installation and staff relocation. Delivered within an occupied commercial environment, the office provides a contemporary workplace incorporating secure public engagement areas, staff workspaces and parliamentary facilities designed to support day-to-day community interaction.

Whitsunday Electorate Office | Proserpine

JDV completed the relocation and refurbishment of the Whitsunday Electorate Office in Proserpine, transforming the new tenancy into a secure and accessible parliamentary workplace. The project included the workplace fitout, integrated security systems, technology infrastructure and staff facilities. JDV also provided secure hoarding to protect an operational ATM area within an adjacent tenancy throughout construction. Digital tools, including Procore and SignonSite, supported 24-hour monitoring of site safety and access. The completed office balances community accessibility with the operational and security requirements of Queensland Parliamentary Service.

Mundingburra Electorate Office | Cranbrook

JDV completed the relocation and fitout of the Mundingburra Electorate Office within a ground-floor tenancy in Cranbrook. The project included complete design management, procurement, construction, services integration, and relocation planning, together with a DDA-compliant bathroom with a shower and an accessible entry door to the ground-floor tenancy. The completed office demonstrates JDV's ability to transform existing commercial spaces into secure and accessible government workplaces while maintaining programme certainty and operational continuity.

Thuringowa Electorate Office | Kirwan

JDV completed the fitout and relocation of the Thuringowa Electorate Office within a commercial precinct in Kirwan. The project incorporated integrated security systems, workplace technology, accessibility provisions and contemporary workplace facilities. The completed office provides a welcoming and highly functional environment that supports parliamentary staff and the local community.

Program Status

The successful completion of the Burleigh, Whitsunday, Mundingburra and Thuringowa electorate offices demonstrates JDV's capability to deliver secure and accessible government workplaces across multiple regional locations. Building on the program, JDV remains involved in Queensland Parliamentary Service's ongoing rollout of electorate offices, with additional locations currently in discussion. This continuity reflects the strength of the delivery partnership and JDV's capability to manage complex, multi-site workplace programs across Queensland.
