University of Notre Dame - Pyrmont

JDV Projects delivered a three-level fitout, alterations and additions at 46–52 Mountain Street, Ultimo, for the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA), creating specialist teaching and faculty spaces for biomedical and physiotherapy programs. JDV originally constructed the Billy Blue Campus fitout for Torrens University in this building, which has since been leased by the University of Notre Dame Australia, giving the team strong prior knowledge of the asset and its constraints. 

The 4,300m² project comprised science wet labs, teaching areas, offices, and specialist facilities within a heritage structure. The methodology focused on box-in-box construction, acoustic treatment without fixing to protected elements, and the preservation of heritage ceilings, columns, and façade components.

Works were delivered under a short programme aligned with semester commencement, in a live urban environment with restricted access. Careful staging, material handling, and trade coordination enabled timely completion while preserving original features and reusing existing elements wherever possible.
