W.L. Gore & Associates is a global materials science company known for pioneering innovations, including the iconic GORE-TEX® fabric. With over 60 years of history, Gore combines advanced technology with a strong dedication to collaboration, responsibility, and continuous improvement. Its Australian team, based in Belrose, supports national operations and a wide network of travelling associates.

The Project After more than a decade in their Belrose premises, Gore expanded into the adjacent tenancy to create a high-performance environment tailored to the evolving needs of their team. The new workplace features a combination of meeting rooms with integrated booking systems, private rooms for focused work, and two multifunctional training and conference spaces with operable walls. These flexible rooms open out into a spacious town hall area, allowing for smooth transitions into all-staff gatherings and presentations.

The design takes full advantage of the site’s elevated outlook, with open-plan workstations positioned to capture expansive bushland views and an outdoor balcony offering space for connection and respite. The result is a balanced, efficient, and uplifting workspace that supports both individual focus and team collaboration.

Coordination and Delivery JDV played a key role in coordinating with Gore’s international design consultants, aligning the global design intent with Australian construction codes, compliance standards, and workplace requirements. JDV also made careful procurement adjustments to meet programme milestones without sacrificing quality or design detail—ensuring local supply chains could deliver on time and within budget.
